Yes. GilledIt is free to download and use, with no ads, and we never sell your catch data. The free tier covers catch logging, the venue map, marketplace, community and live weather. GilledIt Pro is an optional upgrade that unlocks unlimited catch logging and a Pro angler badge, with a 7-day free trial. Free on the App Store and on Google Play.
GilledIt works fully offline. Catches log to local storage and sync when you've got signal.
Your catches are private by default. You choose if and when to share to the feed. Spot pins are fuzzed by default, too.
We don't background-track. Sensors only fire when you tap to log. A typical session adds about 2% battery.
Yes. GilledIt logs all common UK saltwater species with the weather captured at the moment of the catch, and the directory maps sea marks and coastal venues alongside the freshwater venues. Tide tables aren't in the app yet, but they're coming.
