About Kingsbury Water Park

Kingsbury Water Park is a 620 acre country park at Bodymoor Heath in Warwickshire, owned and managed by Warwickshire County Council, where fishing is one of many activities across twelve landscaped lakes totalling more than 125 acres of water. Carp run to around 40lb, with the fishery site kingsburyfishery.co.uk reporting fish past 44lb, alongside pike to 25lb, bream to 11lb and tench to 8lb. Day tickets are paid at the cashless machine and include parking, while annual coarse, specimen and night permits are sold at the visitor centre.

The park and the pools

Twelve lakes sit inside the 620 acre park beside the River Tame, from open day ticket pools to the specimen waters. Pine Pool and Gibsons Pool headline the day ticket fishing, while Canal Pool and Broomey Croft are reserved for night permit holders chasing the bigger carp. Two match pools host club and open events, and the River Tame adds running water to the annual permit.

Permits and day tickets

Warwickshire County Council runs the fishing directly. For 2025/26 an annual coarse permit is £99 (£77 concession), the specimen carp permit adding Pine Pool is £165, and the night permit covering Canal Pool and Broomey Croft is £495 with up to three consecutive nights allowed. Day tickets are bought at the cashless pay and display machine near the main entrance, the price includes parking, and you fish two rods with a current rod licence. Check current tariffs before travelling.

The stock

The park's carp are the draw, with the council quoting fish near 40lb and the kingsburyfishery.co.uk site reporting carp past 44lb. Pike to 25lb make winter worthwhile, and bream to 11lb and tench to 8lb keep the day ticket pools honest through summer. The mix of mature gravel pit lakes means most styles of coarse fishing get a fair crack.

Beyond the fishing

Because this is a full country park, non fishing company is well catered for: the Old Barn Coffee Shop, a visitor centre, waymarked walking and cycling trails, watersports on the sailing lakes, play areas and a miniature railway. That makes Kingsbury one of the easier venues to justify for a family day that happens to include a few hours on the rods.
