About Killylane Reservoir

Killylane Reservoir is a fly only brown trout water on open moorland beside the A36 between Ballymena and Larne in County Antrim. Part of the DAERA Public Angling Estate, it holds a good head of wild brown trout supplemented by regular stockings through the season, which runs from 1 March to 31 October with a four fish bag limit. Anglers need a DAERA game rod licence and permit, available through nidirect. Fishing is from the bank only, with no boats, and there is a car park with fishing stands by the water.
