Northern Ireland runs its own licence system through DAERA (not the Environment Agency). A season rod licence costs £17 for coarse or game fishing (ages 19 to 59), dropping to £5 from age 60, with juniors aged 12 to 18 at £2. Most venues also require a permit from the fishery on top.
