The survey also records a 34 ft sounding, marked as a point rather than a closed contour, so it is not charted as a band.
Fishing Deam Lake: an evenly graded bottom
About 141 acres of Deam Lake sit inside the survey's 6 ft contour, and half of that water is already gone by the 18 ft line: the bottom falls away at a steady rate rather than shelving off or dropping in one step. The steepest break on the chart runs from 6 down to 8 ft: 13 acres of bottom fall away across 2 ft there, which makes that band the first contour to work.
