The lakes
Five waters cover the whole spread of ability. Farm Pond is the starter water, nine swims with an accessible platform and carp to about 16lb over crucians and silvers. Ribbon Lake winds around a walk on island with roughly 26 swims and a mixed stock including barbel and chub, while the 3.5 acre Match Lake holds carp to the low twenties with bream, crucians and barbel to double figures. Sumners Lake is the members and campers specimen water with carp to the mid 30lbs, and Betty's, the newest, holds Redmire and Simmonds strain carp to around 45lb around three islands.
Tickets and prices
Published day tickets on Farm Pond, Ribbon Lake and the Match Lake are £12 for one rod or £14 for two, with juniors and over 60s at £8 and £11. Betty's Lake is £18 a day, with a third rod at £3 extra at the bailiff's discretion. Sumners Lake has no day tickets: it is fished by members and lakeside pitch holders, who can also fish nights. Payment is by card at reception or on the bank, swims cannot be reserved, and matches sometimes book out the Match and Ribbon lakes, so check before travelling.
